Luxury Country House in Umbria - Italy
In the very heart of amazing and lush region Umbria, there is a small medieval town, rich of charm and magic, known as Todi.
Todi is said to have been funded in the 8th century b.C. and hundreds years later, in the 16th century a.d. a small monastery was built.
The former monastery, went through several modifications over the centuries and it’s been recently restored with all comforts, retaining all original features.
The total area of the house is about 570 sq.m. on 2 floors.
Ground floor: the large entrance hall leads to a spacious living and dining room opening out onto the lovely garden. On the same floor, there is a fitted kitchen in a traditional design, spacious enough to cook for all your friends and relatives or for some nice cooking classes. Accessed from an independent entrance, there is a 2 bedroom guest apartment with a large living room and kitchen.
First floor: stepping up to the first floor, you can find a lovely living room with big fireplace. It’s on this floor that you can find the master bedroom, which enjoys a romantic fireplace, a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom, so that you can enjoy full privacy and peace for your romantic moments. On the same floor there are 4 further bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a studio.
This kind of partition makes this property perfect for several purposes: a family with old parents can live all together, still enjoying their own privacy thanks to the independent apartment. At the same time, it is good also for people with many friends visiting during the year, thanks to its 7 bedrooms. Last but not least, it is the perfect investment with immediate returns, since the partition allows to rent it out to tourists: Todi is a popular destination for tourists, so it is very easy to rent it out weekly or monthly, especially from April to October.
The house has been perfectly and carefully restored, retaining all the original features, from the stones, to the fireplaces and wood beams, which convey a sense of family and warmth.
The house is surrounded by a hectare land. From the house, 6 steps will lead you directly to the landscaped pool, overlooking the valley underneath and the green woods on the hill opposite the property, involving you in a kind of fairy tale atmosphere.
The location of the property is very convenient, being placed just 1 km from the first village and 5 kms away from amazing Todi, that can be thus reached very easily and quickly. The house is surrounded by peace and silence: being in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by fields only, it is a very quiet area, with no car noises. Yet, the main road leading to Todi is just 400 metres away, making you avoid driving along long white roads.
Also reaching the airport is quite fast and easy: the closest to the property is the Airport of Perugia, which is 50 kms away, meaning less than an hour from the house.
Now that you’ve got the vision, the dream has started. There are just three steps left: visiting it, falling in love with it and make it yours.

About the area
Todi is a beautiful and elegant medieval town, which stands on top of a hill, overlooking the Tiber Valley. The town has grown inside three rings of walls: the smallest and oldest one was built by the Etruscans, the middle ring is Roman, the third and largest ring is medioeval.
In the heart of the historic centre, on top of the hill, you can find PIAZZA DEL POPOLO, with its Cathedral. The Cathedral was built in the 12th century on the ruins of an old temple dedicated to god Apollo.
All around, small squares, beautiful churches (one containing the crypt of the humanist poet
